Frequently asked questions

How many rolls of wallpaper per room?
Divide the room perimeter by the roll width for the number of strips, then see how many full strips one roll yields at your wall height plus trim. A 4×5 m room at 2.5 m height typically takes 10–12 standard rolls — store charts promise fewer because they cut strips with zero trim allowance.
How does pattern repeat change the count?
Each strip must be cut to a multiple of the repeat, so a 64 cm repeat on a 2.5 m wall wastes up to half a repeat per strip — often one strip fewer per roll. Enter the repeat and the calculator rounds each strip length up correctly.
Do I subtract windows and doors?
For standard openings decorators usually don't subtract — offcuts above and below rarely reuse. Skip only wide openings like patio doors by entering their total width.
